Why the Pathways to Vitality Scholars Network program exists

Knowledge can transform health, care, and communities—but access to learning, professional development, and recognition is not equal.
Patients and caregivers may face financial or practical barriers to attending educational events
Emerging clinicians often train through demanding years with limited resources for specialized learning
Early-career professionals need opportunities to build expertise and networks
Established leaders deserve recognition that helps their influence reach further
Grassroots and community groups often lack funds for essential activities
The Pathways to Vitality Scholars Network creates a connected route through these different stages. WSCN brings together patients, clinicians, researchers and advocates around evidence-informed education, collaboration and community.

Through five distinct scholarships and awards, the network expands access, bridges knowledge and practice, celebrates connection and inspires leadership. The intended result is not learning for its own sake, but knowledge that carries into self-care, clinical outcomes, research, education, advocacy, and healthier communities in which people can Own All 24 hours.

The Scholars network aims to

Expand access

Provide opportunities for students, professionals, and advocates to attend conferences, training, and knowledge exchanges.

Inspire leadership

Cultivate a network of scholars who will light the way for global health transformation.

Bridge knowledge & practice

Support those applying circadian and sleep science to improve health outcomes and community wellbeing.

Celebrate connection

Recognize that health and wellness are strengthened by shared learning across disciplines, cultures, and time zones.

What the scholars network offers

Each scholarship pathway has a distinct audience and purpose, but all of them are intended to connect knowledge with practical impact.

Depending on the award, recipients may receive support to attend an eligible conference, workshop, seminar or specialized training, or may be recognized for leadership and enduring impact. Recipients are expected to use the opportunity for its approved purpose, meet any attendance or participation requirements and provide reasonable follow-up information so WSCN can understand and communicate the program’s impact. Depending on the award, the Scholars Network may provide:
Financial support toward an approved educational or professional development opportunity
Access to learning, training, conferences or knowledge exchange
Recognition of leadership, service, advocacy or professional impact
Connection with a wider community of learners, clinicians, researchers and advocates
Opportunities to share learning or inspire others, where appropriate and agreed
