How it works

A gently-used CPAP machine or factory-sealed supplies you no longer need can still make a meaningful difference. Donating eligible equipment supports WSCN’s CPAP Assistance Program and helps turn unused items into practical support for people facing barriers to treatment.

What equipment can I donate?

WSCN may accept:
  • Lightly used, fully functional CPAP, APAP or BiPAP machines* with connectivity and/or data capability (wifi and/or SD card)
  • New, unopened, and factory-sealed supplies, including masks, tubing, and filters
For health, safety, and compatibility reasons, WSCN cannot accept every item. Please complete the donation form before shipping anything so the team can confirm whether the equipment meets current program needs.

*Please note we do not accept Philips Respironics machines via donation

Are my donations tax deductible?

Yes, equipment and supply donations are eligible for charitable tax deductions. You can include the fair market value you place on your machine/supplies, plus the cost of shipping for tax purposes. Please note that you are responsible for paying the cost of shipping.
To make sure you receive your tax letter from WSCN, please complete the online donation form below and print two copies. Include a printed copy in the package when shipping to WSCN. Retain the other copy for your records. You will need this along with an Acknowledgment Letter from WSCN when submitting your tax return.

Equipment Donation Checklist

Before shipping your equipment to WSCN, please complete the following items to ensure a successful donation process.
  • Check what equipment WSCN accepts and check that all packages are unopened/ fully sealed
  • Complete the online donation form (below), and be sure to include your email for the most prompt response from us
  • Print two copies of the completed form
  • Package your items for donation and include one copy of the completed donation form in the package

  • Wait for Acknowledgment Letter from WSCN – you can then use this for your own tax and accounting purposes. Email response is usually within 30 days. Standard post may be longer.

FAQs

Do you provide a shipping label?
No, as a nonprofit organization, we are not able to cover the cost of shipping your donation to us; however, you are able to claim the cost of shipping towards your donation in addition to the fair market value of your donation. Include this information on your application form.
How do I package my donations?
Please package your items in a cosy box that is not overly bulky ie. the machine/supplies fit snugly. Bubble wrap or packing paper can be used if needed.

DO NOT use packing peanuts OR shredded paper as the particles from them can get into and damage machine ports.
How do I prepare my machine for donation?
Clean and fully dry your machine. Dispose of used masks and filters. Inspect and empty all personal items from pockets of the carrying case.

FULLY EMPTY the water chamber.
If there is ANY water in the chamber then it can damage the machine during shipping and make it unusable.
