The Legacy of Light Award is the highest recognition within the Scholars Network, honoring individuals whose work has had, and will continue to have, a lasting impact on wellness, sleep, and circadian health.

Named for the enduring power of light to guide, illuminate, and sustain life, this award celebrates those who have gone beyond personal growth to become beacons for others. Recipients embody knowledge, compassion, and advocacy, using their expertise to transform patient care, influence education, advance research, and inspire healthier futures for communities worldwide.

This award is intended for advocates, clinicians, researchers, or professionals who demonstrate exceptional promise or achievement in bridging science and practice, and in carrying forward the mission of whole-person wellness.

Who this award is for

Applicants should:
Be advocates, clinicians, researchers, and professionals with demonstrated excellence and commitment to patient-directed care and transdisciplinary whole-person impact
Provide measurable contributions to advancing knowledge, patient care, advocacy, or wellness
Have demonstrated mentorship or community impact

Selection criteria

Recipients will be chosen based on:
Leadership & Vision: Demonstrated ability to guide others and shape the field.
Enduring Impact: Evidence of contributions with long-term significance
Commitment to Community: Engagement in mentorship, education, or advocacy
The Legacy of Light Award is more than recognition — it is a torch passed forward. It honors those whose brilliance has already illuminated the path, while empowering them to inspire generations to come.
